Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 19, 2026
Everyone deserves equal access to housing information. Afford Florida is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and accessibility is part of how we build and review every feature.
What We Have Built
Semantic landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a skip-to-content link on every page.
Full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators, including the search filters, eligibility calculator, and photo galleries.
Text alternatives on property photography and meaningful labels on all form fields.
Color contrast checked in both the light and dark themes.
Content available in English and Spanish with correctly declared page language.
Known Limitations
The interactive map requires a pointer for some operations. Every result on the map is also available in the accessible list view, which contains the same information.
Some property photographs are collected from property websites and arrive without detailed descriptions; we generate descriptive alternatives where possible.
Feedback and Accommodation Requests
If you hit a barrier on this site, or need information from it in a different format, email info@affordflorida.com. We respond within one business day and prioritize accessibility fixes.
