Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
This policy explains what information Afford Florida collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: browsing and searching require no account and no personal information, we collect only what you choose to submit, and we never sell data.
What We Collect
Browsing and searching Afford Florida requires no account and no personal information. The location, household size, and income you enter into the search filters or the eligibility calculator are used to compute results and, if you enter them explicitly, are remembered on your device.
If you send a property inquiry, we collect the contact details you provide (name, email, phone, household size, move-in timeframe) to route your request to the leasing office.
If you subscribe to new-listing alerts, we collect your email address and the county you chose.
If you are a property owner or manager and submit a listing request, we collect the business contact details and property information you provide.
How We Use It
Owner-portal information is used to review property claims and manage listings. Verification information is used to issue the renter’s verification status.
We do not use any information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Where Your Data Lives
Signed-in account data is stored in Supabase (Postgres) with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to the Afford Florida team through service credentials; the public site cannot read those records.
Who We Share It With
A verified renter’s status may be visible to property leasing teams; the underlying documents and income details are not.
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
Data Retention
Owner-portal and verification records are kept while the related account is active and deleted on request.
Your Rights
You may request a copy of any information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@affordflorida.com and we will act on your request within 30 days.
If you are a resident of a state with a consumer privacy law (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act), those rights apply to you here: we honor access, correction, and deletion requests from all users regardless of state, and we do not sell personal information as defined by those laws.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use a small number of functional cookies and local-storage keys: your theme preference, your saved-homes list, and, if you sign in, Supabase authentication cookies. We run no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
This site is intended for renters age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and its last-updated date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
